Barrett Mattison
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Barrett left the 9-5 rat race to pursue his true passion – fly fishing. His travels have since taken him from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, and many places in between. Nico Trochine
Born and raised in Bariloche in Patagonia, Nico has been fly fishing the waters of Argentina since the tender age of 8. Considered an expert on sea trout in Argentina, Nico splits his time between guiding on the Rio Irigoyen in Tierra del Fuego, and guiding for atlantic salmon in Iceland. Nico’s twin brother and chief fly fishing rival, Alex has also been fishing and guiding in Argentina for as long as he can remember. I bought Barrett’s book and live in the Methow Valley in Winthrop, Washington. I’m a friend of Bartrett’s Grandmother, Mary.
I am interested in fishing Patagonia this coming January. Can you provide me with information as to what to expect to spend on a typical two to three week excursion, and generally how everything works. A tall order, I realize.
