On a whim, I purchased an old RV in AK (affectionately dubbed the Eagle 6), loaded her on the ferry to Prince Rupert, and spent the last 3 weeks in BC fishing the legendary rivers I have always dreamed of. I was finally able to step foot into hallowed waters such as the Kispiox, Skeena, Copper, Bulkley and Morice, which are instantly recognizable names among steelheaders the world-over. Fishing was absolutely incredible, though the catching was rather slow. But more important than the fishing, the people I met and befriended along the way made the trip more memorable than any fish ever could. Can’t wait to do it again next year!
