Without any doubt Limay medio river is a great destiny for migratory brown trout. The season already close on the upper Limay river where we usually fish for this monsters, now the target was the Limay medio, which holds good number of large migratory brown trout. Fishing in this part of the Limay depends on the water level of the river, as most of the migratory fish. We have to remember that the river is dammed in this section so the water level depends on energy consumed, most of the energy that the dam produces goes to Buenos Aires.

Because Buenos Aires isn’t consuming a lot of electricity at the moment, they weren’t releasing much water through the dam, which results in low water conditions and difficult fishing. We spent the last 3 days fishing the limay medio, we didn´t have much luck with the low water level, but we tried really hard and still managed to hook some really nice fish!!

Tomas Sordelli who we consider one of the best guides, joined us and showed us the place, we really enjoy those days and spending some moment with such a nice guy, thanks for everything Tomi!!!!

Hope you like Limay Medio pics and we will keep you posted of our next destination!!!
