Due east of the city of Bariloche, Alicura is located directly in the center of one of Patagaonia's most productive river systems. You will primarily be fishing the Collon Cura, Limay and Caleufu rivers, all famous for their robust population of oversized brown trout. Professional guides with a full line of rafts will be at your disposal, and estancia Alicura is the only lodge to offer drift boats in the area. Overnight floats can give you the best experience of fishing the Patagonia rivers in a true wilderness setting. All equipment needed is provided, from flies to leaders to rods and waders. And this is to mention nothing of the riverside Asados (BBQ´s) complete with the finest wines of the region. Your comfort and experience are number one at Estancia Alicura because the fish are already there. You may also elect to fish Alicura's 15,000-acre lake in the ranch's own boat.
While Estancia Alicura continues to be a working ranch, it has also been recently developed to accommodate guests in search of seclusion, adventure and luxury. Under the personal supervision of Texas businessman and owner Ward Lay, the 100-year-old colonial ranch house combines 19th century charm with 21st century luxury for a limited number of guests.
