Tsimane lodge fishing Report – Week 10 deep in the Amazon.

AlexanderDorado

We Just received the week ten fishing report from the best Golden Dorado operation in the World! This destination should be on every angler bucket list!!

AGUA NEGRA LODGE

This past week we had two skilled anglers from the U.S: Dick Pitini and Will Stephane. The fishing was quite productive during the whole week, with low water conditions and cold weather due to a southern front at the beginning of the week. We hiked the Agua Negra and the Chimoro, which produced excellent chances for big dorado and some nice pacú. By the end of the week, we landed eight fish over 15 lbs., two gorgeous 20-lb. dorado, and one pacú, as well as many Yatorana and medium-size dorado.

PLUMA LODGE

This week we welcomed five guests: Alex, Don, and Adam on their second trip with us, and first-timers Mack and Bill.

The group enjoyed great fishing and weather overall; every stretch of the river was productive with many feeding frenzies and sight fishing opportunities.
More than 10 fish over 18 lbs. were landed — including one double hookup — and we had several fish topping 20 lbs., with the biggest being 28 lbs. The main Pluma showed off, with more than 15 feeding frenzies on the last day, giving anglers greater chances to hook Dorados before heading home.

SECURE LODGE

What a week we had at Sécure Lodge! And we are not just talking about the fishing.

This fishing report was written amid a camp atmosphere made fun with music, awesome anecdotes from these past days, and a new brotherhood of fun people. It’s another reminder of why this destination is so unique.

After six days and three out camps which provided us a large list of highlights, the common sentiment for everyone is still the same; that magic mix which causes that recurrent reflection: “I’m definitely going to be back, for sure.

Despite colder-than-ideal weather conditions, the week’s eight fishermen had a plethora of sight-fishing opportunities with both dorado and pacú. The group worked hard and walked a lot, enjoying more than just the fishing and bringing in all sizes of golden dorado on every fly rod, including three fish over 20 lbs. Our biggest fish of the week was a 22-lb. dorado caught on the upper section.
