Colombia Peacock Bass Expeditions
Faraway Fly Fishing, in collaboration with local indigenous tribes and outfitters, is developing a new program targeting world-record (for real!) Peacock Bass and other exotic species deep in the Colombian rainforest. These destinations are a closely-guarded secret previously known only to local anglers, and only a handful of foreign fly fishermen have ever plied these pristine waters. Now that Colombia’s turbulent past is well behind it and is safe for foreign tourists, a new frontier of fly fishing travel is opening up to intrepid anglers.
In 2019 Faraway Fly Fishing will be conducting several expeditions to three separate locations. Amenities, guides, and logistics are already well established at all three camps, which have been catering to local anglers for several seasons. We are looking for like-minded, adventurous anglers to join us for what we believe will truly be unique, one of a kind experience unlike any other. It’s not often that new fly fishing destinations are discovered, and this is your chance to be among the first pioneers of this exciting new fishery.
