O V E R A L L   C O N D I T I O N S: The week started with southern wind which brought some rain the first night. The next day the river started rising but not enough to turn it higher or muddy. The southern wind kept on bringing rain. The third day the river rose continuously and turned out very dirty and high. The last three days the river was unfishable.

The air temperature was low during the week from 2 to 12 degrees celcius.

Heli fishing started, the weather was not the best to flight out most of the days but we manage to fish the Leticia river, Policarpo river and upper Irigoyen river. Guests were amazed by the scenery of the Mitre Peninsula.

R I V E R   C O N D I T I O N S :  Water level was normal during the first three days. After that the water level rose and got dirty; all the rivers were unfishable the last three days.

F I S H I N G : We caught a good quantity of fish the first two days in Irigoyen river and some small fish in the lower Leticia river. The third day we flew out to try the Policarpo river but we did’t have much success, no fish caught. After the river got high and dirty we did’t have any more catches. We tried the Malenguena river but it was muddy as well.

Sinking tips ranging from 3 to 6 inches per second used with small rubber legs nymphs such as wonder bugs. After the river got high we used flies such as leeches and big tube flies. The fish was not active after dusk, most of the action was during sun light.

The size of the fish landed ranged from 6 to 23 pounds.

T O T A L  C A T C H E S : Six rods fishing 6 days caught 21 sea trout averaging 9,5 pounds and the biggest of the week was an 23 pounder.

E X T R A S : A 21 pound sea trout was caught as well.
