Irigoyen River week 3 – Fishing Report

W  E  E  K 3 JAN16th  – JAN 23rd, 2010

O V E R A L L   C O N D I T I O N S: No rain during the whole week. Overcast weather most of the week. The air temperature rounded between 5 to 15 degrees Celsius.

R I V E R   C O N D I T I O N S :  Water level was normal during the whole week. Dropping a few centimeters a day. Water temperature was the warmest of the season so far rounding 14 degrees C.

F I S H I N G : A run of small – midsized fish came into the river with the high ties. We caught many fish between 3 to 8 pounds, fun fishing. The number of fish was high but the sizes not too big.

Sinking tips ranging from 2 to 5 inches per second used with small rubber legs nymphs such as wonder bugs. The fish was not active at dusk, most of the action was during sun light.

The size of the fish landed ranged from 3 to 19 pounds.

T O T A L  C A T C H E S : Four rods fishing 6 days caught 31 sea trout averaging 7  pounds and the biggest of the week was an 19 pounder caught the last day.

E X T R A S : We caught some Robalos in the sea pool. Biggest 8 pounds
