Yatorana fishing.

Alexander

After catching  several species of fish, we caught one that got our attention, the Yatorana. It is a close relative of the Golden Dorado and his behavior is in many ways very similar.

Yatorana  feeds mainly out of small bait-fish, fruits and insects.  Usually moves in schools from 20 to 100. It is very exciting to sight fish for them, they are always looking for a good opportunity to feed and as soon as the fly touches the water they immediately swim after it. It is almost a fact that one fish of the school will grab the fly and right after hooking it will jump and move with a lot of energy all over the pool. It´s certainly, pound by pound, one the strongest fish I ever caught.
